More About Counseling Services

Counseling provided by Laura Longville

you can find hope and healing

Walking in Grace, Inc. is a counseling and spiritual direction center in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. At the heart, our goal is to create an opportunity for personal growth and healing.

Life is challenging at times. It’s difficult to navigate the sometimes-stressful environment of relationships. Life is full of the unexpected which can cause pain and suffering. Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional.

Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional.

At Walking in Grace, Inc we provide unique ways to assist you through life’s trials and tribulations. Weekly therapy has a place in the counseling process; yet, there may come a time when this is not enough. Life-changing intensives are an option that helps move you quickly through issues and at a deeper level.

Intensives are typically 6-7 hours of counseling per day and 1-4 days in length. They are designed to meet your specific and unique needs and goals. Intensives are a concentrated and focused experience.

Intensives can be designed for individuals, couples or families. If you live outside of the Black Hills area I can come to you and provide services in your area. If you would like to come to South Dakota for the Intensive, I can make hotel accommodations for you.

What benefit would I get out of attending an Intensive?

Conflict is an opportunity to learn to love our partner better over time.
— Dr. Julie Gottman

Intensives can help you:

  • Get unstuck and move into action.

  • Address the urgent and long-suffering issues

  • Provide individualized therapy to meet your needs

  • Help you fight for your relationship

  • Gives you extra time to deal with those painful issues

  • Learn practical tools for everyday living

  • Support to address difficult topics

  • Direction and guidance for your next steps

Who attends Intensives?

People attend Intensives for a variety of reasons. Most of the time, people are at the “end of their ropes”. They have tried everything and it’s just not working. Maybe you’re tired of going to therapy weekly or monthly. Maybe, you just want a “shot in the arm” so you can get through a tough issue or feeling. Whatever your reason, I can help.

People participate in Intensives to address all kinds of issues. Relationship problems, marriage issues, addictions, trauma, work related challenges, family problems, health issues and more .
